Gridspace

While at Gridspace during Summers 2023 and 2024, I invented a method that reduced 95% of hallucinations in the automatic speech recognition (ASR) pipeline by making novel changes to the Beam Search algorithm. I also worked on introducing emotional and contextual awareness into Grace, an AI voice agent, and built data and model parallelization pipelines for hybrid, distributed LLM training in JAX.

I'm grateful to have found a mentor in Anthony Scodary, one of the co-founders of Gridspace.

The New York Times

At The New York Times in Summer 2022, I worked across the Newsreader, Games, and Cooking codebases on various iOS features as an engineer on the GMAX (Grow Mobile Apps eXperience) Team.

I spent my free time in the newsroom ("the Bakery") chatting with various reporters whose writing I admire.

Skazki: Learn Russian through Folklore

Skazki is the first iOS application that builds Russian language proficiency in cultural context of famous Russian fairy tales by combining the Diglot Weave and TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) language learning techniques. 14k+ downloads, 4.7-star rating on the App Store.
